Linna, it is very convenient to leave me off your answer to my e-mail, but we both know what you said. You were very clear that Scott Garrett’s campaign paid for half the cost and that it was used to prospect on his behalf. Perhaps he paid for it through Mazuma? Your company appears often on his reports. You are not telling the truth when you state that I “requested” and “approved” your company’s purchase of an e-mail list. Why would I do that? What do I have to do with your company? Did I ever see this list, the contract, the invoice, or even a description of it?How did NJCRLC come to pay for a list purchased, and I assume marketed, by your private company? As a trustee, did you seek approval of the other trustees or advice from legal counsel before putting your signature to a transfer of $2,500 to your personal benefit?Look, we have a disagreement as to what took place here. As a trustee and the treasurer, you had the power to do what you wanted and you didn’t need me to do it. You told several people that you used the list to prospect for the Congressman. I don’t work for Mazuma, you own it. I don’t work for Scott Garrett, you do. I don’t collect 15% commission off the contributions he collects, you do. Why would any of this concern me?I suggest we contact the Federal Elections Commission and ask them to sort this out. They have Justice Department investigators who know how to get to the bottom of these things, and you have to be honest with them, because it’s a felony. As Dick’s attorney is now requiring contracts, I would like to see copies of the invoices and contracts for the purchase of this list. I’d like them by Friday.Of course, I’m not a trustee, so I can’t compel you to turn this information over to me. I have no power, never have had any power. I’m just the guy you blame, but I’m tired of being played. Maybe the agent and the board doesn’t care enough to demand to see the contracts and a set of books, but there are those who will. As I said, I’m tired of being played.I never got the accounting of NJCRLC’s income and disbursements that I asked for two months ago. Transparency doesn’t seem to be the Garrett campaign’s thing. See if you can get me those contracts by Friday.Yep, I shouldn’t have trusted fellow conservatives. Big mistake.
Bill
